Mobile Radar Threat Simulator

Be prepared to high intensity combat

In a world of rising tensions, operators, such as fighter aircraft pilots, need to be prepared to high-intensity warfare and trained to evolve in saturated electromagnetic environments.

To support forces’ operational readiness, we provide armies with optimized simulators and training solutions, designed to emulate realistic scenarios and to be easily deployed.

What is MRTS?

Mobile Radar Threat Simulator (MRTS) is Avantix solutions’ range that brings to air forces and defense organizations valuable and future-proof training, testing, and decoy capabilities.

Avantix Mobile Radar Threat Simulator (MRTS) provides realistic radar environments, simulating a wide range of modern radar threats for multiple use cases and operational readiness requirements.

MRTS are scalable solutions that can be delivered in multiple configurations, from autonomous truck to a network configuration.

Deployed in operation since 2022 within tactical training programs designed for air forces.

Key benefits

Realistic high-intensity scenario

Create complex threat environments by simulating multiple radar systems at the same time. This includes integrating surface-to-air missile (SAM) systems, anti-aircraft artillery (AAA), and other radar-based threats.

Future-proof database

Replicate realistically the complex technical features of modern radar technology. Highly configurable and scalable to accommodate future threats. MRTS is a future-proof solution that can be updated with the latest radar signals database.

Operational readiness and ease of deployment

As a mobile wheeled system, MRTS can be easily transported and rapidly deployed in a variety of environments, from training ranges to operational theatres, across diverse terrains and conditions. The system can be fully operational in under 30 minutes.

Interoperability

MRTS can be standalone or fully integrated in a setof interconnected Live, Virtual and Constructive (LVC)real-time simulation systems. It allows practices inreal-life conditions, and can be interfaced to anyexternal target designation system (L16 / JREAP, etc…)

Versatility

MRTS solutions can meet various operational use cases.

  • “Train as you fight, fight as you train”: MRTS enables totrain pilots to high-intensity warfare
  • System testing and evaluation
  • Radar simulation and decoy

Dynamic threat simulation

Simulate various radar modes and behaviors, such as search, track, and lock-on. By dynamically changing modes, it can mimic the operational patterns of real radar systems, making the targeted platforms believe they are being actively tracked and targeted.
